Vladimir Varnava’s On Nature refers to the essays of the Greek philosophers such as Plato, Pythagoras and Empedocles, who tried to explain world order through patterns. This choreography piece grew out of the Ballet TV serial created by Evgeniy Sangadzhiev and Studio Videoprokat. An imaginary screen ballet got its embodiment on the stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre. Music for it was specially composed Alexey Nadzharov.
Maxim Sevagin’s Death, the Fairest is inspired by Alberto Ginastera’s Harp Concerto. The plot of the ballet is based on an Argentine fairy tale. It was developed by the choreographer in collaboration with designer Anastasia Nefyodova and lighting designer Konstantin Binkin. The story takes place on a spaceship, where the heroes just like Noah’s family hade safely escaped from the collapsing Earth and found peace in art.
